Eww i’m gross1lb of Muscle vs. 1lb of Fat
- One pound of muscle will burn ~10 kcal per day.
- The pound of fat will burn ~3 kcal per day.
- Weight is a poor measurement of fat loss, for obvious reasons.
So, you lost a pound? That’s a pretty big deal.
Lift heavy stuff and eat enough and you’ll build more muscle which will allow you to burn more fat and get the look of muscular definition that you desire.
Starving yourself and doing cardio for fat loss are a sure fire way to keep your muscles from growing properly and never reaching your full potential. Go lift weights.
If you want to track your progress accurately then you should use some sort of journal to log your body’s measurements and strength changes or take progress pictures on a regular basis.
Stay off the scale.

What are your guy’s playlist?
Sorry I haven’t been um,
Keeping up.
I’ve had a rollercoaster of a few months.
Been looking for a job.
Going to New York City,
Going to Philadelphia,
Meeting my Boyfriend in NJ,
Having decided in Oct I shall be moving there with him,
Got a job,
Got fired from same job (i personally think it was discrimination, but oh well).
AND
AND AND AND, I am working out more often now.
As of now, I weigh 209. I’ve lost 20lbs in 4 months! :D
Oh, btw if you get a follower name “Aoreka”. That is my personal blog, I have the same account for both blogs.
I just wanted you guys to know<3
Stay beautiful guise<3 xD
I got a job. :) i’ve been greaaaaat!!! And i keep losing weight… Slowly but surely. :P
I still managed to lose weight?
I’m kinda confused by this…
AHAHAH! This is on the wall in the back at my gym! :D
(Source: fit-for-mwah)
I cannot run. D:
I can run in short spurts but not long distances.
Oh well, I’ll start doing it more often…
Then, maybe I’ll start getting a little bit further. :P
If this isn’t motivation to shed those extra pounds, I don’t know what is.
HUGE motivation.
I’d venture to guess that this data is based on obese or morbidly obese patients — not those within the normal weight range. So if you’re 124 lbs looking to weigh 110, I wouldn’t exactly expect your asthma to disappear. But for those who are overweight or obese, this is definitely true and a great motivator!
Be back next Wednesday…er or was it Tuesday…?
<3
- Be able to run a mile. (Never actually tried, i get tired fast)
- Get to the 190s! (That’s 15+lbs.)
- Win the 1st place prize in the gym’s Weight Loss challenge.
(That would be 3months free, and if i place nationwide, $3k~$5k i would win)
Yesterday, I got weighed.
Which was kinda disappointing, I haven’t lost anything since January.
Probably gained more muscle weight than anything.
And I just pigged out on tortilla chips & my own homemade salsa. :D
So I don’t feel so well…
I gotta wait until my tummy feels a bit better, than I shall head to Snap!.
Also, I feel as though I should take pictures tomorrow, since it’s the start of the challenge…. You know, progress pics. :P
